This is the traditional, and most accurate and effective form in which reiki can be given. The old Japanese masters only used this form for healing. Other forms such as distant and group healings were added to the reiki spectrum by later masters. Master Usui successfully healed thousands of people after the devastating Kanto earthquake that hit Tokyo in 1923. His students, who later became important masters themselves, have further refined the reiki technique to make it a powerful, all-encompassing and all-applicable healing art that can be of benefit to all.
This is typically a one hour hands-on healing in which the aura (energetic field) of the recipient is checked up, re-balanced and healed by the master. There is a standard set of hand positions that is used in all traditional Usui Reiki schools and that in Surya Reiki also is maintained. In these hand positions, the chakras (energy centres) are the focal point and through the interaction of the recipients chakras and the energy that flows through the master’s hands, the healing takes place.
After the session, the recipient will be consulted about the findings, progress and the steps to take to further enhance healing. These findings could be based on the physical body, the emotional/mental state or on a spiritual level, or a combination of these. Reiki has proven to be a magnificent healing power on all levels.
This type of treatment can only be given on location, normally in my studio in Beijing-Sanlitun, however travel can be discussed. I regularly travel to other cities in China and Vietnam, and occasionally to the Netherlands and Germany.
